Interesting Outlook

This piece is an inquiry into the abstractness of the eyes that I have made so many times on this website. The eye in the center is nothing and anything. By surrounding it with other trappings it is defined. Looking at the beak on the left one can see it as an angry, or at least determined eye. Looking at the beak on the right it is obviously a sad or guilty eye. In this way the eye is given clear characteristics

New Grit

This is the New Grit. It's roughly the same as the old grit but it will never really compare. It's not a knock-off or anything but it doesn't have any real impact.

Chicken Draw: The Chicken Maker Card Game

Hey everyone. That card game I was making is out now. Hurray!

Here's the rules and the cards on Google Drive. I will tell you now that the Google Drive PDF viewer has all sorts of trouble with colors so you should probably download it and use Acrobat Reader or some other software to view it. Oh, and you probably don't need to print those purple card backs but they're there if you want them.

In 1-2 weeks when I got my proof copy you'll be able to buy a physical copy on DriveThruCards for $5.00. If you want you'll also be able to buy the digital version for the lofty price of $0.00 there. I'll make another post when that's available though.

Some things have changed with it since I started. I don't know why this game had each player build a deck in the first place. I wanna say it was part of the original challenge and I carried it though since it was trading card game like. Anyways It's now a simpler game with one deck of cards and one discard pile. I got rid of some of the more complicated rules and nonsense I had in it. Those can go to other nonsense I make later... Like an expansion or something. "Roll Some Dice! The Thrilling Expansion to Chicken Draw." If this does get an expansion it almost definitely won't be called that.

This flower started out as a flame, but i changed some lines and made a flower instead. In general I think I might use fire imagery far too much, for anything from passion to anger to reinforcing something like power. That's all well and good but I think an elegant flower is a nice fresh thing for this site.

Here's how prototyping a game works. You print out sheets of cards and maybe watch a movie or something while you cut them up with scissors and slide them into overpriced plastic sleeves.Once that's done you can play it some more to make sure it actually works. Actually that's how print and play card games work in general and that's what you'll all have free access to once this is done. Maybe I'll look into making these actual physical cards once I'm at that point. I think I can do a 50 card deck for $5 on DriveThruCards so I'll probably set that up. Need to finish the game first though.

This bread is chicken. Totally different from my recent works.

Banana Nut Bread

Well, I was told that this was the only part that you guys actually care about so this is what I have to give you today. Anyways Banana Nut Bread is my favorite kind of bread. It's more like a cake really. Oh, carrot cake is tasty. Wait. I think I'm getting off topic.

Herb and Cheese Bread

The fourth part in the ever exciting series of chickens with photos of bread backing them. This is everyone's favorite part of this site, right?

You may think I haven't drawn a chicken yet this month, but that's because I've drawn this infinite chicken in the last ten minutes. Alright, it's all a lie. I haven't done anything for this site in the last week.
