Chicken (Pixel Dailies)

I've been thinking about participating in "Pixel Dailies" for a while now since I think it's neat, but I put it off. The theme today was "Chicken" though so I figured I don't have much of a choice. Any non-chicken ones will just be on my twitter, though I doubt I'll keep it up for more than a week or two.

For style I'm doing 32x32 1-Bit because I think it looks nice and I want to get some practice on it.

Standing Desk

I have a fancy electric standing desk at home now. I've wanted one for a while because I've used them at work and I stand a fair amount there. It was a pain to build but now that I'm using it I feel good about the whole thing.

Why am I sharing this? Well there's a post on this site that was about me building a bookcase forever ago and I fondly recall someone I shared the site with questioning that being a valid post topic. Yes, of course it is.

Question

In life you can accept things or you can be filled with endless questions and doubts. Think back and ask, did the last 9 years really happen, or are we just floating on a disk sailing through some vague metaphysical space since the world ended in 2012? I'm fairly certain they happened, but I was born after Haley's Comet destroyed the world in 1986 so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Lasers

Lasers fire back and forth as the battle rages between the space emperors' forces, the last remnants of mankind, and the giant alien chickens, who are obviously the moral heroes.

This is obviously sci-fi. You can tell because the chicken has the little metal cup on the side of its head.

Meander

At this shape and aspect ratio meandering becomes a core form of movement replacing such dangerous and bold techniques as jaunting. The colors are dull and less vibrant to indicate that the bird is less energetic and more worn out.

Round

The round bird is the ideal shape to communicate harmony, community and general fluffiness. This may be one of my finest pieces. Combined with the irregular outline it is given an interesting form.

Clucker Logo

Social Media platforms. Making one is the key to big success so I'm proud to present our newest concept, Clucker. Clucker is a social media platform unlike any other. By banning non-chicken related content we can avoid the issues of other platforms, such as over-sharing and arguing with your uncle about something stupid.

As soon as I get a few billion from a random angel investor we can get started.

Unfortunately I've made use of this Twitter/Clucker "pun" before.

Not Surprised

You sneak up on that bird. It was finally time to get rid of it... It's head turned, a calm look in its tiny fowl eyes. It wasn't surprised by your appearance. Did it even know why you were here? It would be best to leave now, before it gets upset.

Striking Outline

Here we have a striking collection of dark shapes. Together they're a chicken because this is a website for that.

I would never forget about this site, but I didn't realize I took a quick week off. Ahem, back to it now.
