Power – January 2022 Wallpaper

The chicken glows with an eerie power. The background is a mixture of dull blue-greens, while the chicken itself used a standard, but not oversaturated, blue-gray color scheme. The flat colors and limited palette let the bright colored 'shadow' pop. Using a hard shadow rather than a glow for the "aura" helps to maintain a sense of dimension in the piece.

Special thanks, as always, to my Patreon supporters. Get over there and give me a dollar?

Head

Here is the face of a chicken. It's the sort that would say something like "Cluck. Cluck. Ba... Bakawk."

Barbarian (sticker)

The Barbarian and Knight are two sides of the same coin, and that coin is the fighting guy. Sure, you have some intermediate fight-types who have more balanced levels of savagery and sophistry but a guard or a bandit is less interesting than a noble knight and a wild barbarian.

I think there will be one more in this fantasy character series, bringing us up to a total of ten.

Political Cartoon

Here we have a political cartoon. It's got all the hallmarks I expect. If you think you're reading any sort of comprehendible political message from it... please explain it to me. Maybe... France is using your taxes to cannibalize your rights? I just threw random words on this nonsense image.

Boot Hat

Assuming a men's size 8 boot how big is this chicken. I'm sure this can be easily calculated for a terrifying answer. A bird this size could tear a man apart in minutes. It is wearing a boot on its head though so it's probably friendly.

Beyond Space – December 2021 Wallpaper

Here is the final of last year's wallpapers, only a couple weeks late.

Beyond space and time, within a distorted world two two chickens tread, engaged in an endless struggle. I went for an interesting aesthetic without much thought for the content or even thought for the design. It may be a bit odd, but it is decidedly on course for this website.

Special thanks, as always, to my Patreon Supporters.

Robo

Even from behind it was undeniable that it was some sort of mechanical robo-bird. The fancy gold and blue wings really have no place on a chicken though. Those are obviously for some sort of robo-falcon or robo-bug.

Banana

I didn't really have a strong concept when I started, but I had a video on in the background that told me to turn my art into a banana. It all works out I guess.

Dong Tao

The Dong Tao Chicken, also known as the Dragon Leg Chicken or simply Dragon Chicken, is a rare Vietnamese chicken breed, once available only to their royal family. They have large scaled legs and somewhat malformed features. Basically it's a buff bird.

I don't do these specific sorts of chickens very often, usually going with my generic cartoon chicken. There's a lot of variety to the appearance of different chicken breeds so I really don't need to use my generic style and color scheme every time.

Healer (sticker)

I couldn't think of a good name for the general support character so it's just gonna be Healer, rather than Cleric, Priest or White Mage. The pink is maybe a bit much, but I wanted to keep the limited color palette so I had to share the color between the wattle and outfit.

Merchant (sticker)

The round heavyset fellow with the large sack of items, cloth roll on his back, and a tiny hat. It can only be the wandering merchant. If you think merchant isn't a core fantasy character like knight and dragon then maybe we're fond of different things. As you can see I've resumed my vague fantasy chicken sticker design project I started like two years ago and forgot about. I already have a couple more, including Barbarian, half done so expect them soon.

Toughs

The Crimson Comb gang rolled out from the shadows, their boss coming into the light, a lit cigarette between his wingtips. The rest of his guys stood shadowed behind him. Things wouldn't be safe with them wandering around here.

Fool

Once upon a time April 1st was the beginning of the year, but then the government came down on people who knew that and told them it started in January. Everybody started calling them fools.

What I'm trying to say is that New Year's Day was a couple days ago and I just got around to it now. Recovered from being sick so we'll get some more quality content soon.
