Gritty Tired

Sleep. It's a dear old friend that one might ignore and resist at night and reluctantly cut short in the morning. It really is important though, so I'll talk to you all later.

This is my first Gritty Sharpness-type piece in a while. I still like this black and white heavily shadowed stylized design.

Time Fade

The daring call of the fowl permeates the world, leaving echos of the past and bringing the future into question.

I'm going to be out of town over the weekend so don't expect any posts.

Trapped In Phone

Sometimes I feel trapped by the easy and immediate access I have to everything though my phone, computers and the internet, but really at the end of the day the things I would be doing if I weren't distracted are also driven by phones, computers and the internet. It is a troubling thing and the only real solution is personal discipline.

New Construction

I think I'm going to redo some things on the site. Maybe a new banner, rearrange and clean up the sidebar. I don't think I'm going to do any sort of major design overhaul. I'm kinda used to this color scheme and things, but maybe that will change too. We'll see what I'm thinking once I get going on it.

Promo Card - Double Abstract

The strong angular forms utilized with the limited palette allow for this distinctive piece to stand out. The choice to overlap the two forms was a bold one, but it makes the whole image feel more cohesive.

Is there too much empty space in this picture? I felt like adding anything would detract from it, but maybe I should have done something in the background.

Promo Card - Joyous Laughter

Joyous laughter untainted by any sort of dire madness or insanity. This is just a nice light piece. I think I'll have another one out later tonight.

Long Before

Long ago he wasn't taken by madness. He was a bit of a gloomy guy though. It's not clear that this guy ever laughed at all. He seemed grim all the time. At least his feathers looked normal, but... he seems a lot happier these days.

I guess I'm on a follow-up kick? After I posted the last one I wondered what he was like before... So I had to let everyone else know too.

Long Taken

This fowl has been fully taken by the madness. It's hard to say if he thinks at all, much less if they are reasonable. All that's clear is the eerie laughter that constantly leaves his beak.

I don't know why I seem to favor the theme of madness. Maybe because it lines up with a slightly exaggerated and off look.

Just Comeback

Back in the day if I did something like not post for a week I would immediately apologize and post something declaring I wasn't dead or I was making a comeback. So you know, I would need one of those for like every other post now. (sigh) Anyways I was thinking of this pair of posts when I posted this: BORING and Exciting Come Back

Also on casual friday at work I wear a Hawaiian shirt, so I figured that would be good for this guy to be less... meh...

Just 4

I only posted 4 times this month? That's no good. I mean I know that I'm an adult with a real job and the dumb site I started in high school isn't my main focus these days but I expect better of me than that... It's not even like I'm too busy. I'm just doing some other time wasting thing.
