I think these dailies are going well. This one was a bit rushed, but it's getting me in a good rhythm. 

Stinky

Imagine if you would, a world not of sight or of sound, but of smell. This one is robustly unpleasant, though you thankfully can't hear the aura of flies.

Panic

 ... AHHHHHH!!!

This is the practical experience of a panic.

Ogre

I don't really have a strong image of "Ogre" in my mind so I just gave him a chunkier face and some tusks. Is that an ogre?

Smack

 With an angry swing of the wing the chicken delivered a devastating SMACK!

Cactus

A cactus with three chickens attached. Maybe I should have leaned more into the wild west element since that's the first thing that comes to mind whenever I'm drawing a cactus, but this is fun as-is.

Miniature (Pixels)

When I saw Miniature the first thing that came to mind was "Tiny Pixel Art" but I've already gone to the very small like 8x8, so this is a more standard 16x16 design

Relic

The endless sands hide countless artifacts. What they mean is anyone's guess, but some claim 74 Degrees Celsius is the safe temp for chicken. I feel like it would be uncomfortably hot for the birds though...

Apple (Inktober)

What if a chicken was an Apple? This honestly feels like we're back at my core content. Maybe I always need someone else telling me what to draw?

I don't know how much I'll actually be following this Inkotober Prompt list (a thing that is apparently controversial now? I'll look into that later) but after posting 3 (THREE!) times last month I figured I better just get something consistent going here.

Shadowy Land

Wearing a hat in a dark land. Yeehaw. This might be too green for a cowboy place though?

Arriving

Sometimes you don't even know if things are coming or going, but with a pair of slick goggles everyone will know when you arrive.

Colors

In this piece I continue doing whatever I want.

Except I did make an active choice to not use an assortment of blues. That's one of the comfortable options I fall into since I did it as a joke so early on in this site's existance.

Also I haven't used the name Colors? That seemed unlikely, but apparently true.

Black Bird

Bravely wandering the desert is one of those core experiences that everyone has had. You may need to adjust your perspective a bit if this doesn't sound true. Maybe your desert was just a large parking lot or a lake.

Pink Shadow

A nice knobby silhouette. Smooth is fun, but largely unrealistic. 
 

Can Of Chicken

I've drunk bone broths, and Campbell's has those little "drinkable" chicken noodle soups, but for some reason my can of seems gross to me... Maybe because it's soda can?

Show Off

Show off what makes you you. I mean I won't be. That seems embarrassing, but you should. This little guy is.

Whatever Colors

One of the true wonders of art is that you can just use whatever colors you want. As long as they're a little offputtingly bright people won't even think it's an issue that the beak is cyan.

Copper – June 2026 Wallpaper

Despite being a simple giant rooster he's also a cop with a gun. There are no themes or meanings to go along with this excitement. There isn't even an accurate drawing of a revolver.

Round Recovery

I think I'm still a little sick, but I'm back to work so I'm back to you all as well.

Today's chicken is cute.

In A Daze

I've been sick for a week and I'm not really feeling it anymore. 

Intentionally messy linework is annoying to make. Making this with clean curves and shapes seemed wrong though.

Crossed This Road Before

If you keep going where will you end up? You've crossed this road before.

My mind was in a weird country song kinda mood and I accidentally drew something resembling a road line so figured that's where the chicken would be.

Upsidedown

I drew this one upsidedown because this site needed a little more whimsy. Seemed off to present it right side up so I did the playing card style illustration and rotated it around so you can see it both ways.

I'm a bit too competent at this (drawing chickens in MS Paint) so it isn't really distorted much at all?

 

Rainbow Load

This is vaguely digital so it needs to load, but it's not too high tech so we're not doing any blur nonsense. Just green was boring though so I had to reach for the real inspiration, some old 80s rainbow branded tech, like a ZX Spectrum or an Amiga 500. 

Purple > Blue > Cyan > Green > Yellow > Orange > Red

But stopping at Red seemed incomplete, so like a prism the final version is white.

Tough

 

Black and white is tough, as the young people say. Is that what the young people say? It's so hard to keep track. This one is definitely a tough guy though.

Staggered Lines

I like the shape tool and I almost never use it because curves are one of the top things in art, and if I'm not doing curves I'm usually doing strong 90 degree angles. Straight lines just give the whole thing a sort of polygonal look, even though it is obviously a 2D Raster image.

Chorus – May 2026 Wallpaper

For some reason I imagine the sound of this chicken chorus as a barbershop quartet, but that is not the sound that a trio of chickens makes at all. They would just be squawking. In my research, which it may surprise you is a regular part of making this fine artwork, I did see the phrase chorus of gakels, but that's a frustrated hen sound and these punks are clearly having the time of their lives.

Healthy Zoom

Really just can't be bothered to draw the rest of the chicken so let's get this month started with a nice healthy zoom.

That sure is an eye, and maybe an earlobe. Bit of beak. I don't think you should see any comb from this perspective?

This one has angles instead of curves. You may think this would make it more extreme, but it isn't pointy. It's just blocky

Many naturally associate being round and cute with being colorful, but that is strictly optional

Everybody loves giant robots and pointy sunglasses, so let's resume my anime reference series with Kamina, hero of Gurren Lagaan. He believes in the you who believes in him who believes in you.

An assortment of one chicken, filled with mysterious potential. Each and every one of them would bite and claw you right away.

This is, of course, a beautiful(?) tiled background for anything you need one for.

Shapes Behind

Various shapes go into making art, but none of these ones in the background. Those ones aren't artistic shapes at all. They're strictly taking up room to make this one less boring.

More Square

Who would want things like curves when we can have nice reliable angles.

Though this is natural and hand drawn so these angles are acute and the lines are a bit wobbly.
 

Chalk

Drawing on a blackboard. Most blackboards, in my school experience, were actually green though.
 

Swirling

Seeing things the way they aren't, because this way is just that much more exciting.

Bubbles – April 2026 Wallpaper

Sometimes I overthink and overdo these wallpapers but this one is nice and straight forward. The most important gimmick is that it tiles seamlessly so it will display nicely on any oddball displays. Together we are just peaking through the floating bubbles to see several angles of this chicken.

Dots

 I considered actually putting polka dots on this chicken to firm up the title, but they were ugly so it's generic instead.

Bawk

The angled "chisel" brush (just a 4px diagonal line) is the most quintessentially MS Paint tool. It's not even good, but everyone loves to misuse it.

Red Glow

Red is an angry color, but light red is pink, and pink is a pastel. We all know pastels aren't angry. They're vaguely friendly.

I did this in blue before switching it to purple because it was a little too similar to the flag of Finland and I'm trying to avoid that controversy.

Bunny and Chick~

A bit late, but happy easter. I skipped April Fools so this is one of the main not chickens I draw every year...

This is not a quality Rabbit, but I think I roughly aligned the quality of the chick to match? Both are acceptable in a short children's book for sure.

Backwards Cap

Full of the rousing spirit of the 90s this chicken has a backwards cap!

As I'm always telling you this website is all about drawing chickens in funny hats and to my shock I've never drawn a fez, one of the classic funny hats, on here. Not even when it was a trendy indie game.

Chicken Maker for 17 Years

This website is 17 years old, so about half my life Chicken Maker has been here as one of my main creative outlets. Even after all this time I'm still not quite sure what this is supposed to be exactly. Mmm... I'll just keep calling myself a fake artist.
