Cool From The Start

Most of us just aren't cool from the start. You gotta build up to it over the years as you do more things and get more confident.

Not this little chick here though. This baby chicken was cool from the start.

 

Pastel Stroke

Really just another example of chicken classic. I think it looks great, but I didn't really have an idea or a concept. I just drew a chicken, started coloring it, added a random effect and said, "Yeah, that looks about right."

Anyways we had freezing rain yesterday but it's firmly into Spring so I want to believe it's getting warmer.

Human Person

 

Enjoy a normal human person as a break from the tedium of chickens. Look at his Human-style T-Shirt and Human-style Baseball Cap.

Too Close

Turning in a drowsy daze you come face to face with this. Horror? Mystery? No, it is simply too close. Please go ahead little bird.

Smooshed

 

Here I freely indulge in the experience of coloring, with the passion and ease of a child who hasn't quite figured out shading solid colors, but is pretty good at staying in the lines.

Thick Contrast

The thick strong line and stark contrast of black and white come together with the illusory form of fowl's face.

16 Years

16 Years and what do I have to show for it? Some would say a strangely impressive internet website. Welcome back to Chicken Maker dot Net.

In this years thrilling anniversary/St Patrick's Day celebration I just deeply thought that making things green turns them into a scifi adventure. Here are some of my personal favorites from the past year.

CMYK

When it comes to the miracle that is print media you need to embrace the real colors. Red? Blue? Not real colors and just things you need to get over. It's just a lie, like when your elementary school teacher said you can't subtract a bigger number from a smaller one. Don't worry though, we still have yellow.

Cube Void

As the hen awoke in the mysterious void she could only scratch her cheek. Mysterious floating cubes everywhere was all well and good, but aren't voids usually endless darkness.

Hopping from cube to cube the bird began an uncertain journey, practically flying even though her wings were clipped.

One of the most reliable aesthetics there is. A silhouette in front of a shining golden sky. (Dawn in this case)

Big Jacket

Getting a suit jacket that fits is a great way to make a man feel like he's worth a million bucks, but that's bound to cost hundreds of dollars. You can get a jacket that's too big and doesn't fit at all for like $15 at a thrift store.

Sick in 2025

Hey everyone. I know we've been very inactive this month. I've been sick for the past week, but... I mean I'm still sick. I'll get back into the swing of things soon hopefully.

Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovers out there.

Back in Action – January 2025 Wallpaper

Fun action poses are good. Let's give this chicken a sword in its beak and have it cutting some vague baddies in half. Sometimes I lean towards robots, but this is bad samurai movie inspired so they're his fellow fowl instead.

Today's new friend is rather ghastly. Some might even say ghost-like. Not me though. Pretty sure haunting blue glows are a normal part of being a still-living bird.

Silhouettes are always hard, because I like how they look but they inherently feel lazy since I'm skipping steps like color and shading and linework. Anyways these are a pair of beautiful birds on a backdrop of warm waves.

The cold gray winter skies can get you down, but underneath that dreary gray we skill have a stripe of clear blue.

Be decisive, even when the answer isn't clear. Teal, aqua, dark cyan? No, we don't need some wishy-washy midnight seafoam. We're just gonna call it green.

With a shattering flash of light everything was over.

I was off work for the holidays, but it's over now. Back to work. Back to work.
