Troubling Times

Truly this is a post that reflects the most troubling of times. Specifically 12:26. I feel it fully captures my feelings at that moment.

Journey

Well everyone this site is a treasured experience and all of your comments bring a smile to my face. In spite of this I'm leaving on a journey. Maybe some day I'll return.

Sunday most likely. And it's not like I won't have a computer with me.

Chicken OS

Windows? pft.
Mac? pft
iOS? pft
Android? pft
Linux? pft

You need to modernize to Chicken OS with it's extra impressive error screens.

Dark Outline

There is no theme here. Just a somewhat simplified design with strongly defined outlines. I chose to eschew the normal black outlines in favor of the darker colors because it makes the parts more distinct. Unfortunately the paddle feet are basically unavoidable without making them larger as there isn't enough room for the outlines of the talons.

Fire Face

Drawing fire never gets old for me. There are so many ways to do it and most of them are wrong. This one for example is entirely horizontal. The colors should go from the inside  to the outside rather than the top to the bottom.

Party Ready

There's no party right now but this one is definitely ready to party and that's all that you really need. All of the party supplies: The hat, the noise maker, the plates and matching napkins that are just out of frame.

I drew something sad while I was in a good mood so I decided to follow it up with something cheerful!

Sad Eyes

While I don't feel any sorrow at the moment it is a great subject. In order to better capture it I used the close view and a dull color scheme. I feel the eye shape and shading work well in that direction.

Little Fatty

I drew this with complete disregard for... well anything. Then I looked at it and saw it as a little fatty. That's actually a turn of phrase I associate with asian martial arts novels though. I considered adding some of those elements to it but decided against it because my mouse coincidentally died right then.

Floppy Legs

I wanted to do something with a bit more flow, but I feel like it really only showed up in the legs. I actually like those legs, but I don't think they match the rest of the picture.

Power Up

More sprite work. This chicken is powering up so he has a glowy blue aura. I decided he may as well also have a gold combed "super saiyan" version since I was doing it anyways.
