Chicken of the Bog

The humble and extremely poisonous Chicken of the Bog mushroom, not to be confused with the more popular Chicken of the Woods, cleverly hides in the swamp, only it's red comb visible. It can be distinguished by it's toadstool shape, distinctive face-like pattern. When trying to distinguish it from similar mushrooms just remember that if the eyes blink you should run away.

Is this one too weird? I just assumed I already had a mushroom of some sort and this is just what came naturally when I tried to make one.

Abyssal Cluck – January 2023 Wallpaper

Welcome to the first wallpaper of 2023. As always I have to give a special thanks to my supporters on Patreon. We'll jump right into it.

Every day the unfortunately fowl sank deeper and deeper into a murky sea-like abyss. Slowly it was overtaken by the shadows of self-doubt and forces that were undoubtedly not its self at all. The rooster still crows, but on the inside is the existence behind the clucks even a bird at all?

Fiendish Familiar

The Fiendish Familiar appeared to be a simple chicken, but it's true form was revealed in the reflection. From the corner of the witch's eye she saw the eldritch abominations, writhing in the empty air.

Facing Darkness

The brave warrior had faced many dangers and gained many treasures but the darkness constantly tried to encroach on what tenuous connections to reality he had left. 

Glad to bring you this vague fantasy/Cthulhu thing. I'd declare the next post's theme but I can't think of one right now. Vague Scifi perhaps?

January 2020 Wallpaper - Whispers

Whispers of madness fill the chilled air. The cloaked bird was turned and twisted, falling from grace to consort with the dark creatures who called this land home. Those who entered would not find a fellow from the mundane world, but simply another denizen of this madness filled land.

This month's piece is a callback to the themes of Lovecraft's horror, or at least the pop culture version of it. The cool colors of the environment encroach and cover the last of the chicken's warm browns, and oranges.

Cluckthuloid

Well a few days ago I did an archive binge and I found that something I made isn't on this site. Well, that's hardly any fun.

A priest twisted by his dark desires and the force that he contracted to gain them. His body was forfeit from the start. As soon as he made the choice he had lost his right to remain a normal chicken. He was a cluckthuloid now, twisted by Cluckthulu's unworldly influence.

Cluckthulu obviously being a chicken version of Cthulhu  though really he's more of a Yog Soggoth than a Cthulhu but that's not nearly as popular and recognizably a thing. He definitely won't be taken out by a boat or any of that nonsense. Well this guy might be though. He's not boat proof at all.

Mutant

This is a mutant from the bad future caused by The Occurrence in the year 2013. A simple chicken has mutated into something terrifying that can burn down not one, not two, but three sky scrapers.

Remember, much like wildfires, only you can prevent The Occurrence.

An Abomination

is an abomination. It was born a chicken lost that when it saw reality naked. Without the filters that everyone hid behind lots what had been before. s understanding couldn't be held by a mere chicken so became .
