2nd Speed Run: Let's GO! Drawn in a Flash

It's been a while so I'm doig another speed run. Let's see how many I can get before 1 o'clock, which looks to be about 30 minutes away. What do you say? Okay, 1, 2, 3 and GO!

Regardless This chicken was Drawn in a Flash. He's got a nice jagged swooping style. I'm not sure why I think of it was being a jagged swooping style but that's how it seems to me. Basically he just reminds me of a snake's tongue. Okay BAM! One down.

Passion's Dance

This chicken is dancing a passionate dance of such force that he leaves a glowing impression of his passion in his wake on the world. His focus is not absolute that he couldn't even notice his surroundings, but at the same time those around him can see his passion and wouldn't even think to interfere with him.

Gritty Striding

The Gritty Striding is one of the artist's more recent pieces. The development of the style stands out in that at a glance the piece retains the same general feel as what it started with. However the lay of the darkness and strong contrasts between colors seem to have improved. The image as a whole is emptier, containing  more of the main element but without any background for it to stand against it has little to lean against on its failings. The sudden cut off of the right side leaves the image feeling unfinished. Overall the image presents a stark impression and powerful motion.

One Year Later

Today is the site anniversary.  Now, if you're anything like me, this comes as a complete shock. I assumed this would burn down after a few months. It'd last until September at most. Now, I wasn't really sure what to do for it at first but it came to me in a flash. I'd get one of them fancy shmancy web-domains, but then I remembered that http://www.chickenmaker.com/ was taken so it was too much hassle and was unsure again.

So, then I put it off for a while then BAM! It hit my like a bus. It's St. Patrick's Day. So, I'm just gonna green up some of my personal favorites from the past year.

On a side note... yes Anniversaries do count as holidays. Though I guess this goes in there regardless, huh?

 Shades McCoolGuy is cutting in with a special appearance. Just think of this as a holiday special. It's a pretty good one I'd say. It's set between the 2nd and 3rd parts because that's where random specials go if you have a trilogy.

 This cyborg chicken was one of my earlier ones. I think of it as one of the better ones, though the waddle is very poorly drawn and I'd have never stood for that sort of quality if I'd made it fresh today.

 The Gritty Sharpness is the best style ever, no doubt. It even works in Green. Look how cool he is.


Also for a short while I'll be trying out one of those "You may also like" things. I'll decide to keep it or not depending on how intrusive it seems after a while.

Flipside

Okay. We have a chicken with a blue collar. You know a hard working type. Then he's got his darker counterpart who is doing everything backwards. Interpret as you will.

Snob

This is a snobby snobby rich guy.  You can tell because of the tuxedo vest and monocle. I think he looks like a jerk who would buy out your company then fire everyone and laugh about it because he's so rich.

Also I see now that I made a mistake and made his waddle black but let's just justify that by saying he dyed it.

Sonic

No, I didn't make the motion blur myself. I tried but it was beyond me without using Photoshop so I just Googled one. anyways this is Sonic the Hedgehog, only this one's a chicken. I'm sure you understand. It's not very complex. I like the Sonic eyes. I think they came out well. I may use it on some guys in the future.

gentle strokes

The gentle strokes used in the creation of this piece were more important this time around than making distinct outlines or the colors to work with, which is, in fact, why the eye isn't colored in. The smooth motions in the creation gave it a look that stands out among the Chicken Maker collection

Ear Haver

Well, I decided to do a bit of research today. I looked at a picture and stared at it for a bit. Then I noticed that dangling pale thing. It turns out it's basically an ear. Don't expect them to show up too much. Much like human ears I don't like drawing them. There's a nice swash to them though.

Square Eyes

Square Eyes here... I don't really like. He's a chicken. You know, sorta back to the basics. Then I stared for a while and decided I needed him to have some cool eyes. I like the way the eyes came out though. I'm not actually sure what it is I don't like about him. Is it the colors? Is he too close to skin-flesh?  No, that's not really a problem. A bit offsetting but not a reason to dislike him. I like his generally dazed and confused appearance, but I dislike something about him.
