1000: One-Thousand

This... This is my 1000th post. It's actually why my posting slowed down a bit. At first I was surprised to see how close it was, then I thought I should do something big. After that I started to think it didn't really matter. It was just another post. But I've been rather cheerful every hundred or so so I figured that would be no good. Of course I should do something big for the 1000th post, but I couldn't think of anything. Well, that's a lie. I went though several things, but in the end I wrote the number 1000 and that is what I've got for you all today.

I mean I made a pretty fancy 1000, and there are 1000 chickens on it. (That's why the pattern stops a bit short of the bottom)

Well, with a thousand posts knocked out maybe I can get some feedback. Anyone whose been here a while anything I've stopped doing that you enjoyed? Anyone new getting ready to run away because this is a strange site... don't?

Hand Turkey and Hand Chicken

It's Thanksgiving here in the states. It's when you outline your hand and draw a turkey. This site is about chickens though. It took me a while to develop the thumbs up method of chicken drawing, but it works fairly well. You add a fringe against your knuckles giving it a nice form factor.

Mini Skeleton

Back when I last drew a skeleton I swore I would never do it again.  I am a liar. I wanted a little skeleton chicken to go with the rest of the minis in that game I made. So I made one. It's here for all to see. It's pretty good I think, given the constraints I chose to work in.

Wing Bones

I was working something somewhat tangentially related to this site and I needed to see what the bones in a chicken wing looked like. Once I was looking for some reason or another the outline developed a bit and before I knew it I had a nice picture for you guys. You like skeletons, right?

Rye Bread

Here I have created a Rye Bread based chicken. For rye I have a lot of options, and after some consultation I settled with the Marbled Rye. It's becoming apparent that this is a series.

Got Worse

I intensely examined all things related to how that chicken was on top coming down, and I'm afraid things are just even worse now. I have no idea what needs to be done. I fear I have no choice but to give up on the investigation into the matter.

But How?

There's a lot of questions that need asked in life, but the most important one right now if how did that chicken get up there. What is it holding onto. I just don't understand you coocoo people. I'll be bawk when I have found an answer.

Horizon on the Bottom

Someone once said the horizon should always be at the bottom or the top and never in the middle. I can't remember who that was, but it was one of those big shot directors.

Old Roos' Grey

Old Roos' Grey lived a long life full of excitement and adventure. It isn't over yet of course. He's got months, maybe even a year left before the end of his adventures. Getting ready for his next adventure he stood with the desert to his back.

Rectangles

This is a picture made entirely of Rectangles.Except, of course, that it isn't. It's definitely all quadrilaterals though.
