Chicken Maker

Mario

One of my older challenges was a Mario Brothers Chicken. This is that. At first I was just drawing the hat, but then I added the absurd moustache and the overalls. I think it worked out quite well.

Challenge Complete! You may notice I've done a few challenges in a row recently. That's because I'm thinking I might just start fresh since well, some of those are years old and the people who asked for them are long gone.

CEO

Hi Chicken Maker. I challenge you to draw an angry chicken CEO at an angry chicken press meeting.
Yeah, I guess I can do that. Here we see the CEO of Cluck Corp angrily talking to the press. How's it look? I assume you're still around since it was quite recent.

Adventure

a turkey, a duck, a rooster, and a swan traveling together
This is what was asked of me, and this is what I provide here.

Challenge Complete!

Card Game

Hey, you may recall that at one point, years ago, I made a card game. It was honestly kind of awful and that's why I started working on a revised version the other day. Maybe it's a 2nd edition. At any rate it will be much better looking and probably even get some proper play testing as opposed to the rather light testing the original got. It certainly has some better rules already. Anyways I just felt inclined to let you guys know that I'm working on something for the site. I haven't done any sort of big project in a while and, well, that sort of thing is fun. Every card will be based off an older post, including most of the ones from the original. If you've got any favorites feel free to make requests.

Shades McCoolguy VII: Magenta Journey

The last part of Shades McCoolguy was posted back in 2011. As such there were a few things that bothered me looking at it. Now, I'm not so sure that most of you were here to see the last part so I'll fill you in part of the gimmick for Shades McCoolguy is that it's versions of the same picture. As such I was a bit reluctant to make any real changes to it, but in the end I did redraw part of it, though for the most part it is the same as before. So, catch up on the series before reading. This is the beginning of the Cajun Queen Trilogy.

His investigation of the sailor man led him deep into the secrets of the Cajun Queen. Having boarded the ship he didn't have much of a choice at this point. Shades McCoolguy, a chicken who had in the past straddled the line between good and evil, had successfully fought back against many fowl villains in his day and this would be much the same.
Hearing the troubled clucks of those trapped on the ship he could only choose to ignore them. By the end of the day they would be fried, and if he was noticed here he would be stuck in the same boat as them and then he couldn't expect to help anyone. He was going to save them though. Just not yet.
It was an unfortunate coincidence that the ship started to move so soon after he boarded. The sailor didn't realize that he was on board after all. Shades didn't really have any sea legs to speak of so this could only lead to trouble. The chicken was on the move because there wasn't really any other choice.

Search Fixed

Well, the search function of this site never really worked that well so I fixed it. Admittedly I probably should have done that ages ago. Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Also this is an awful detective.

Gritty Martial Artist

The battles had been going for so long now. His talons were stained with blood and it was hard to even think he had the right to stand in the light of the world anymore. In that moment he realized that something else was coming.

This is the return of what has been called my signature style, the Gritty Sharpness. I don't use it very often because, well, black and white feels kind of lazy.

Look And See

You need to meet eye to eye if you want to bring yourself up. Even if it means standing in a broad empty field of grass.

Scientist

I chose to make a scientist-chicken for all of you. I sometimes forget the most important part of this site. Chickens in silly costumes are what it's all about.

Happy 2014

This year, 2013 has been the slowest in the site's history for a variety of reasons. I think it mainly comes down to me doing things that aren't this site. I made that game, which slowed us down a fair amount. Plenty of life happened along the way too.

Let's look forward to next year. You can expect me to get at least 11 or 12 posts in during 2014
